About the position

As a Tax Senior Manager in Deloitte's International Tax Services practice, you will leverage your strategic thinking and extensive experience in accounting and taxation to provide consulting services to multinational clients. This role involves managing complex tax issues, collaborating with cross-border teams, and implementing international tax structures to optimize tax implications for clients' global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a national team and liaise with local office professionals across the country.
  • Provide tax consulting services to multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations.
  • Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis and recommendations for clients and their affiliates.
  • Assist clients with the implementation of specific international tax structures and processes.
  • Oversee complex tax computation projects for clients in diverse industries.
  • Research and prepare materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions with internal teams and clients, including non-tax stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team.
  • Supervise and support the technical development of tax consultants and senior consultants.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work, preferably with a focus on international taxation.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • One of the following active accreditations: Licensed CPA, Licensed attorney, or Enrolled Agent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Big 4 experience, public accounting or consulting experience.
  • Strong research and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience participating in strategic planning initiatives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Strong executive presence.
