About the position

The Senior Manager, Governance, Risk and Compliance at Zayo Group LLC is responsible for overseeing the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team, driving the execution of GRC initiatives, and fostering a culture of compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in compliance and risk management, along with strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team's work, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful execution of GRC tasks and professional growth.
  • Effectively allocate resources within the team, addressing priorities and facilitating ongoing training to meet evolving needs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and address development areas to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Ensure the team effectively conducts risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and audit coordination, maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the GRC team and other departments, integrating compliance and risk management into business operations.
  • Guide the team in developing and delivering effective GRC training programs and updating policies as needed.
  • Oversee the team's monitoring of compliance metrics and risk indicators, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead the team in identifying and implementing enhancements to the GRC framework for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the team stays current with industry trends and updates policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes.
  • Set and track team goals that align with organizational objectives, ensuring successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in GRC, risk management, or compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience managing direct reports.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk and compliance activities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and relevant GRC tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with GRC software and tools, particularly experience with ServiceNow.
