About the position

The Senior Manager of Hotel Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring high service standards and compliance with policies. This role involves managing staff, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and enhancing guest experiences through effective leadership and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping in leading and managing all Housekeeping operations, including budgeting, purchasing, and policy enforcement.
  • Ensure maintenance requests for guest rooms and equipment are addressed efficiently and oversee laundry quality.
  • Establish and enforce health and safety policies for staff, ensuring compliance and proper training.
  • Drive staff development through training programs and performance management systems.
  • Monitor daily departmental activities and recommend improvements for operational success.
  • Create a collaborative environment that motivates employees and enhances guest satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with Forbes Travel Guide standards and participate in relevant educational opportunities.
  • Assist in monitoring the fiscal budget and analyze departmental reports for strategic adjustments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in Housekeeping.
  • Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience within an upscale hotel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic computational ability.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Budgetary analysis capabilities.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls.
