The New York Times is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to collaborate with employees and leaders across the Marketing, Brand, and Corporate Communications departments. This role involves working directly with senior leadership teams to assess organizational needs as the business evolves and to help establish a talent strategy that addresses these needs. The HR Business Partner will lead the design of programs aimed at fostering an inclusive culture, aligning with the company's core values, and supporting employee engagement, connection, and career development. In this capacity, the HRBP will leverage their expertise across the full spectrum of human resources and organizational development specialties to provide strategic HR partnership and execution support. This position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing business and its team members. The HRBP will collaborate with central HR teams and report to the Director of HR Business Partner. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week at the NYC headquarters. The HR Business Partner will act as a trusted strategic advisor and coach to department leaders, managers, and individual contributors. Responsibilities include supporting department leaders with annual performance and compensation processes, managing succession and talent programs, and overseeing HR administration. The HRBP will also partner with Centers of Excellence to develop impactful people initiatives, monitor business plans and industry trends affecting talent needs, and support the diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy of The Times. Additionally, the HRBP will analyze people metrics to identify trends and provide insights that shape HR strategy and talent recommendations, while also collaborating with Employee Relations, Talent Management, and Legal teams to address employee relations issues and ensure compliance.
