About the position

The Senior Manager, HR Operations will lead the U.S. HR Operations team in the timely execution and delivery of functional areas including Hire & Onboarding, HR Data Management, Employee Services, and employee inquiries. This role includes answering escalated inquiries and ensuring that all activities are executed in line with standard procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Senior Manager will also oversee U.S. Immigration, manage the U.S. Contingent Worker population, and support large project-based requests such as acquisitions and reorganizations. The position requires building strategic relationships to influence partners and vendors, driving enhancements, and delivering impactful changes to improve the overall employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to teams ensuring processing and delivery of employee data, onboarding, offboarding, immigration, and Contingent Workforce management.
  • Coaches team members on complex employee inquiries and resolves escalated inquiries.
  • Accountable for the overall end-to-end employee experience ensuring all interactions meet region's requirements.
  • Develops and holds self and team accountable to meet objectives aligned to unit's goals and KPIs.
  • Tracks and reports on volume and activity completed by the team.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on U.S. processes, regulatory requirements, and controls.
  • Participates with local and global stakeholders in identifying and initiating new projects.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Manages and maintains select U.S. HR Operations third party vendors.
  • Creates an environment for effective and efficient operations while ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops team members.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or related field.
  • Relevant experience in resolving customer service requests.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational structure and complexity.
  • Experience coaching and leading a large team.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end processes and downstream implications of HR transactions.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Immigration.
  • Experience with project management and change management related to leading large initiatives.
  • Proven teamwork capabilities and strong relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a global organization.
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities.
