About the position

The Senior Manager of Human Resource Operations at PGE is responsible for driving the HR strategy, mission, vision, and values while ensuring that HR meets its goals. This role acts as the chief of staff for HR, leading various functional areas including HR strategy, employee experience, HR communications, and HR technology. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage multiple teams and ensure operational excellence in HR processes and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall HR strategy, vision, mission, and values in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Lead a team focused on continuous improvement and customer service in HR processes.
  • Drive HR strategies that build capability and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Manage HR reporting, analytics, services, communications, and technology.
  • Sponsor and support the implementation of HR strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships within HR and other functional areas.
  • Represent HR for policy and process changes related to HR functions.
  • Implement performance metrics and improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee the HR technology strategy and ensure compliance with data governance.
  • Manage the financial planning process for the HR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, or related field.
  • 12 or more years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of human resource management laws, principles, and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise-level technology solutions, including ERP and Cloud systems.
  • Expert analytical thinking, conflict management, and decision-making skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Intermediate knowledge of utility industry regulations, including OPUC requirements.
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office and automated HR-related systems.
