As the Senior Manager of Human Resources for SPM Western Hemisphere - A Caterpillar Company - you will be responsible for a team of 6-8 members (4 direct reports) across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. You will direct the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provide guidance on HR policies and practices, and foster a culture of employee engagement and development. In this role, you will collaborate with our senior most leader as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives. You will align HR policies and programs for your division which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance. Acting as a trusted coach, you will provide guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits. Additionally, you will analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing change management methods and materials to facilitate the deployment of HR programs and processes within a specific organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business acumen, including knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for sound decision-making.
  • Extensive experience in global perspective, with knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace.
  • Extensive experience in knowledge of organization, including understanding the organization's vision, structure, culture, and values.
  • Extensive experience in decision making and critical thinking, with the ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Extensive experience in influencing, with knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies to impact decisions within and outside the organization.
  • Extensive experience in alignment, with the ability to collaborate among team members and enroll stakeholders in supporting the organization's vision and strategies.
  • Extensive experience in leadership practices and processes, with the ability to enlist others in achieving objectives and having a long-term perspective on future goals.
  • Extensive experience in talent management, including knowledge of how to attract, recruit, retain, identify, and develop talent.
