About the position

The Senior Manager, Indirects - Marketing Services at Kraft Heinz is responsible for leading sourcing and category management for a diverse portfolio of critical categories. This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and developing strategic sourcing projects to optimize supplier selection and performance. The position requires a strong focus on establishing performance goals, managing total cost of ownership, and enabling continuous process improvement while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mid to executive-level clients and supplier relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and deliver performance goals for a portfolio of categories representing significant spend.
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects for supplier selection and optimization.
  • Handle supplier relationships and conduct Supplier Business Reviews, addressing performance and risk issues.
  • Identify business needs at the sourcing and category project level in areas such as Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost, and Innovation.
  • Develop multi-year category vision and strategy based on data, insights, and business requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships to influence total category spend.
  • Identify and evaluate potential value-generating projects based on complexity, resources, risk, and financial impact.
  • Manage a prioritized portfolio of projects for the category in the near and long term.
  • Lead the supplier selection and RFx award process.
  • Perform sophisticated contracts in accordance with policies and processes.
  • Apply expert negotiation techniques in all situations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of category dynamics and communicate changes to business partners.
  • Manage Total Cost of Ownership at the category level in collaboration with Data Analytics.
  • Enable continuous process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Ensure the strategic sourcing process is applied to all sourcing projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, preferably in Indirect Procurement with relevant category expertise.
  • Familiarity with eProcurement Source-to-Pay tools (e.g., Ariba & Workday) is desirable.
  • Experience in Supplier Performance & Risk Management tools is desirable.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in developing long-term business strategies.
  • Extensive experience in the sourcing life cycle process and tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and complicated business situations.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, leadership, and team-building skills.

  • Experience with largest food equipment manufacturers and industry leaders is a plus.
