About the position

The Senior Manager of Information Security - Identity and Access Management at Marriott is responsible for leading a technical team focused on Web Access Management (WAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and directory services. This role involves developing and sustaining services related to WAM, MFA, and directory services, ensuring alignment with organizational security policies and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing technical teams and implementing access management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end service ownership and delivery for WAM, MFA, and directory services.
• Participate in scheduled audit reviews by providing required evidence and documentation.
• Drive consistent documentation for services and initiate process improvements.
• Review designs provided by the technical team and support during change management processes.
• Support the team during triaging and resolution of post-deployment issues.
• Refine Marriott's SSO application onboarding service by defining integration patterns and levels of effort for application integrations.
• Collaborate with IAM teams, senior stakeholders, and customers to inform product vision and strategy.
• Champion leaders' vision for product and service delivery and develop new project plans.
• Generate accurate and timely results in reports and presentations.
• Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders, communicating concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes and programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience and certifications.
• 7+ years of progressive and relevant industry experience managing/supervising technical teams.
• Experience with SSO and federate services, including various federation standards like SAML, OAuth, OIDC.
• Experience developing and executing strategies to enhance access management processes.
• Direct experience in managing service operations and on-call needs.
• Technical understanding of MFA and directory standards like FIDO, Identity proofing, LDAP.
• Experience supporting regular audit and compliance assessments for various controls like PCI, SOX, FTC.
• 4+ years of implementation experience with WAM, MFA, and Directory technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Security certification such as CISSP, CISA.
• Strong understanding of information security within enterprise-sized organizations.
• Experience working within an outsourced and managed service IT delivery model.
• Experience with Agile delivery and the use of Jira.
• Hands-on management of product including defining epics and business requirements elaboration.
• Experience presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
