About the position

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering & Cloud Architect will serve as a strategic IT advisor, focusing on cloud adoption and modernization of the enterprise IT infrastructure. This role involves leading a team of engineers to ensure successful migration of services to the cloud, developing a comprehensive cloud strategy, and collaborating with enterprise leaders to design and implement high-level architectures that support IT modernization efforts. The position requires a strong emphasis on cost optimization and governance policies for cloud architecture, while also engaging in thought leadership discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic IT advisor for cloud adoption and modernization.
  • Lead a team of engineers to ensure successful migration of services to the cloud.
  • Contribute to cost optimization and vendor negotiations.
  • Conduct investment analysis for new cloud investments, assessing ROI and TCO.
  • Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Create a cloud adoption roadmap and enforce governance policies for cloud architecture.
  • Design cloud architecture solutions and create detailed architecture blueprints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and architect solutions.
  • Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects simultaneously.
  • Guide IT staff and business units in developing cloud strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Engineering or Infrastructure.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role with independent decision-making.
  • Proficient in cloud platform expertise, infrastructure design, and automation with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Experience with networking, security, DevSecOps, multi-cloud environments, and disaster recovery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in computer science.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
