About the position

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Senior Manager of Internal Communications to lead and enhance employee communications across its extensive network of over 180 locations. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture where employees feel engaged and connected to the organization's mission and values. The Senior Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, implementing, measuring, and refining innovative communication strategies that inform, engage, and inspire team members across clinical, field operations, and corporate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that communication efforts are effective and aligned with the organization's goals. In this role, the Senior Manager will coach and develop a high-performing leadership team, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities to enhance their communication skills. Collaboration with the TAG communications team will be essential, as the Senior Manager will partner with public relations, social media, and marketing teams to ensure internal messaging aligns with external communications strategies. Building trusted relationships with operations and clinical teams will be crucial for understanding their needs and effectively counseling leadership on communication efforts. The Senior Manager will also manage a comprehensive internal communications calendar, utilizing metrics to track performance and employing a data-driven approach to hold the team accountable. A multi-channel communication strategy will be designed to effectively disseminate messages through various platforms, including meetings, intranet, video, emails, and digital channels. The role will also involve assisting with key meetings and events that drive employee engagement and connection to the organization's goals. Additionally, the Senior Manager will serve as the internal communications lead for crisis response, ensuring timely and effective communication during critical situations.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, implement, measure, and refine innovative, strategic communications & change strategies and programs.
  • Coach, develop, and influence a high-performing WellNow leadership team in successfully delivering communication results.
  • Provide constructive feedback and development opportunities to support leadership success.
  • Partner and collaborate with PR, social media, and marketing teams to align internal messaging with external communications strategy.
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships with operations and clinical teams to counsel leadership on communication efforts.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive internal communications calendar and assess metrics to track performance.
  • Design a multi-channel approach to effectively communicate messages across internal platforms.
  • Explore new ways to advance the team's efforts to exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Assist with managing key meetings and events that drive engagement and facilitate employee connection.
  • Serve as the internal communications lead for crisis response.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, including building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering strategic communication programs aligned with business goals.
  • Experience working alongside senior leaders, providing trusted counsel, and influencing decision-making.
  • Exceptional skills in defining and developing clear, concise, creative, and persuasive messages.
  • Ability to synthesize diverse activities into a clear framework for stakeholders.
  • Commitment to change management and understanding its impact on adoption and engagement.
  • Keen analytical and strategic planning skills to develop communications that reflect enterprise strategy.
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise's business strategies and industry dynamics.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $130-160k with bonus opportunity.
