About the position

As a Senior Manager of Internal Communications at KAYAK, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving our internal communications function. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, you will be part of a global tech company that prioritizes effective communication of business priorities, company values, and employee engagement. This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts, requiring in-office presence twice a week. Your responsibilities will include creating and driving internal communications programs, partnering with the People & Culture team, supporting leaders in their communication efforts, and managing various communication assets to reflect global messaging. You will also monitor employee sentiment and contribute to maintaining KAYAK's reputation as a great workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive internal communications programs to motivate, engage, and empower employees
  • Work in partnership with the People & Culture team to roll out employee programs globally
  • Support leaders to help them communicate priorities
  • Build communication assets such as all-hands decks, announcements, newsletter content, and video scripts
  • Monitor employee sentiment worldwide and offer strategies to maintain KAYAK's reputation as a great place to work
  • Bring tools and creative ideas to shape the internal narrative
  • Manage content on the company intranet
  • Oversee company-wide meetings, office info screens, and IT coordination

Requirements

  • 5+ years of internal communications experience in-house; agency experience is a plus
  • Experience coaching leaders on internal communications
  • Comfort working in a data-driven environment; strong project management skills
  • Self-starter personality who can move quickly and manage competing priorities
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create high-quality engaging and strategic content
  • Flexibility for cross-time zone coordination/communication
  • Passion for using AI to improve productivity and effectiveness
