About the position

The Senior Manager of International Retail Operations at Alo Yoga is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the company's international retail expansion. This role involves assessing market viability, adapting North American store operations to various international business models, and managing cross-functional operations to ensure successful market entry and store openings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for international retail expansion, assessing market viability, entry considerations, ideal timing/sequencing, and cultural nuances.
  • Define store operations approach to support adaptation of North America store operations technology and process into various localized business models.
  • Develop and assess impact to existing operations across key cross-functional areas to support operations in new markets.
  • Establish and manage critical path to open in a new market, considering all dependencies and cross-functional areas.
  • Serve as the cross-functional Program Manager for owned and operated locations from strategy and planning through execution of the critical path to open and operate in a new market.
  • Maintain detailed project plans and support executive level updates of new country enablement status leading to first store opening.
  • Localize and translate operational policy and procedure to remain compliant in new markets.
  • Partner with the Global Education team to develop localized and translated onboarding materials.
  • Source and establish relationships with suppliers to support in region store operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in Retail Strategy and/or Operations or in Management Consulting, MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading and supporting retail functions in international markets, including Europe and Asia.
  • Self-starter with ability to drive a high level of cross-functional collaboration, identify issues, propose solutions, manage risk, and implement improvements.
  • Strong business acumen across multiple business areas.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
