About the position

The position involves managing change and release processes within the organization, ensuring that structured methodologies are followed for both change management and release management. The role requires coordination with various stakeholders to evaluate change requests, plan release schedules, and ensure compliance with established standards. The individual will be responsible for communicating plans and timelines, conducting readiness reviews, and monitoring release progress. Additionally, the role encompasses strategic planning, business coordination, process improvement, regulatory compliance, and governance, all while upholding the organization's values and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that a structured change management process is followed.
  • Evaluate change requests, assessing their impact, feasibility, and risks.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to review and approve change requests.
  • Communicate change plans, timelines, and impacts to relevant parties.
  • Ensure release management procedures and standards are followed.
  • Plan and coordinate the release schedule, considering dependencies and constraints.
  • Work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure smooth release processes.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Coordinate deployment activities and manage rollback plans if necessary.
  • Monitor release progress and performance, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
  • Develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies.
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all portfolio release activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor product delivery involving multiple squads and interfaces.
  • Own release planning activities and create change implementation plans.
  • Orchestrate deployments, issue resolution, and sign-offs.
  • Draft and circulate clear communication plans to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Review and assess release and path to production processes for improvement opportunities.
  • Measure, monitor & publish metrics to establish maturity model of release management function.
  • Responsible for Go-Live activities including execution of deployment plans.
  • Ensure releases adhere to Change Delivery Standards, ITSM and ESDLC.
  • Own and address tech compliance requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure all release artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per required standards.
  • Govern hygiene of releases & manage relevant communication of release schedules.
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics.
  • Lead the Liquidity team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles.
  • Embed Here for Good and Group's brand and values in the Liquidity team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in IT systems, infrastructure, and technologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ITIL framework.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools and release automation systems.
  • Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor changes and releases.
  • Ability to create detailed project plans, set priorities, and manage resources effectively.
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop solutions.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in change and release documentation.
