About the position

The Senior Manager, IT Product Construction, Destination at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for managing the portfolio of IT construction projects related to the company's Destination Products. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget while developing IT strategies that align with business objectives. The position involves leading a team of IT professionals, collaborating with various departments, and monitoring project performance to implement improvements. The Senior Manager will also ensure compliance with IT policies and manage resources effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio of IT construction projects for Destination Products.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals.
  • Collaborate with key departments and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on IT project performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure business capability needs are defined for implementation.
  • Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
  • Support the intake process of projects through governance.
  • Lead capability requirements for business model integration with product owners.
  • Create partnerships among portfolio stakeholders for resource planning and budget management.
  • Work with IT Finance for labor forecasting and reporting.
  • Manage portfolio artifacts, decisions, communications, and metrics.
  • Manage an annual budget of $30M - $50M across multiple projects.
  • Develop and deliver project management training to improve delivery consistency.
  • Support product integration within RCG sites and assets.
  • Build strong relationships within Royal Caribbean Group to understand business challenges.
  • Manage Executive Portfolio views and provide stakeholder updates.
  • Support the development and adherence to IT Delivery Team methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, product management, or operations.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to present information to Vice President and above roles.
  • Experience in executing heavy IT infrastructure projects in a construction environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in IT project management.
  • Creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in amusement park operations preferred.
  • Experience working with hospitality systems preferred.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
