About the position

The Senior Manager, IT Project Management at NTT DATA is responsible for overseeing internal information system projects from initiation to delivery. This role involves managing project streams, working with internal customers to define project requirements, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The Senior Manager establishes methodologies for project management, coordinates activities across functional areas, and serves as a key liaison between IT, the Project Management Office, and other departments to ensure accountability and transparency in project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee personnel including IT Program Project Managers and Business Analysts.
  • Establish program and project management for IT business rhythm, including project committees.
  • Ensure projects follow the interlock process and all necessary artifacts are created.
  • Provide portfolio risk management and mitigate foreseeable project risks.
  • Communicate with leadership and employees through regular meetings.
  • Manage the IT Project Program, including active projects and backlog items.
  • Establish key performance indicators for IT programs and report them to leadership.
  • Work with departments to define project scope, milestones, and objectives.
  • Create project charters to initiate project work effectively.
  • Train, support, and mentor team members to foster continuous improvement.
  • Interface with vendors and internal departments as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant work experience, including 3-5 years of personnel management experience.
  • PMP or equivalent Six Sigma certification required and maintained.
  • Experience with an IT service provider, data center, or SaaS preferred.
  • Proven track record of people management in professional business roles.
