About the position

The Senior Manager, Lease Accounting at IGT is a pivotal role within the Global Lottery Controllership organization, responsible for overseeing the Lease Accounting team. This position involves developing processes and guidelines for Lottery Lease Accounting, transitioning work from the former Gaming Accounting team, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and US GAAP standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing the knowledge base on Lease Accounting and implementing new business initiatives across various accounting areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Lease Accounting team, ensuring accountability and integrity.
• Monthly review and posting of lease entries.
• Conduct account reconciliations and reporting, including IFRS reconciliations.
• Prepare IFRS and US GAAP Cash Flow reporting.
• Compile annual Lease disclosures and make Lease Technical Accounting judgments.
• Develop best practice methodologies and provide training for successful Lease project implementation.
• Enhance knowledge on Lease Accounting using a 3rd party solution and collaborate with business partners.
• Implement new business initiatives in Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and Inter-company accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of accounting or related experience.
• Advanced analytical and technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP accounting software.
• Advanced PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, and Database applications.
• Prior team lead experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cross-departmentally and understand process controls.
• CPA, MBA, or special certification related to the position preferred.
