About the position
The Senior Manager - Locomotive Reliability at Illinois Central Railroad Company is responsible for creating and monitoring the overall strategy for the locomotive fleet. This role involves data analysis and performance monitoring to enhance fleet reliability and efficiency. The manager will lead initiatives for continuous improvement in fleet performance, collaborate with various teams, and assist leadership in quality and failure monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Create and monitor overall locomotive fleet strategy based on data analysis and performance.
- Design planned maintenance actions for unscheduled and scheduled events.
- Lead continuous fleet performance improvement and management.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Program team, Planning team, Vendor Management, Shop Operations, Procurement and Supply Management, and Original Equipment Manufacturers to improve fleet performance.
- Assist leadership in monitoring quality and failures initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Five years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience.
- Three years of experience with locomotive models such as ES44AC or ET44AC.
- Experience with railroad footprint, major corridors, and overall volume.
- Experience in data mining and trend analysis.
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, SAP, Mini Tab, and KPI Dashboards.
