About the position

The Senior Marine Operations Manager at Venture Global LNG will oversee and provide expertise for marine terminal operations, ensuring safe and efficient operations at LNG export terminals. This role involves strategic support, compliance with regulations, and collaboration with various teams to enhance operational effectiveness and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic marine support through SME advice and problem-solving based on best practices.
• Work with VG LNG terminals daily, offering support and oversight on terminal operations.
• Collaborate with Marine Supervisors to maintain operations, minimize downtime, and maximize berth availability.
• Develop and implement VG Marine Operations procedures and policies.
• Ensure safe, reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible cargo transfer operations.
• Support terminal audits as per OCIMF MTSA guidelines and conduct audits of cargo and marine terminal paperwork.
• Build and maintain relationships with marine vendors involved in operations.
• Schedule LNG tankers at VG LNG terminals, overseeing marine operations and related work.
• Support the marine assurance team with knowledge of marine assurance, including vetting and terminal compatibility.
• Provide operational SME advice throughout project development and ensure policy consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, marine Class 1, or relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of five years experience in marine and terminal operations.
• Experience with LNG or cryogenic hydrocarbon liquids; petrochemical experience may be considered.
• Experience in developing and managing multiple terminals and working with 3rd party marine operations.
• Strong leadership and administrative abilities.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in commissioning and startup of marine operations.
• Knowledge of Optimoor and MIS Mainstay.
