About the position

The Senior Manager, Marketing Data, CRM & Communities for Pet Nutrition will play a critical role in our transformation to become a digital-first organization that drives organic growth. This position is a senior and visible leadership role within the Center of Excellence (COE) and North American Marketing Organization, reporting directly to the Vice President of the US Pet Nutrition COE. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall portfolio digital strategy for first-party data (1PD) acquisition, CRM, and social platforms for Pet Nutrition brands in the US and Canada. This role requires a deep understanding of CRM and content marketing, as well as experience in managing complex projects and external agency partnerships. In this position, the Senior Manager will further accelerate 1PD collection efforts in partnership with the COE team, overseeing brand and portfolio-led email and SMS programs, including broadcast and trigger campaigns. The role also involves optimizing and developing brand-led CRM programs with a focus on retention and loyalty. The Senior Manager will collaborate with various teams, including brand, consumer care, in-house content, and agency teams, to lead the development of best-in-class organic content and community management. Additionally, the individual will serve as the US and Canada lead for the development and rollout of a Consumer Data Platform (CDP), driving use case definition and activation as a design market for Global Petcare. The Senior Manager will own external agency partnerships for Single Sign-On (SSO), CRM, and CDP, ensuring alignment on Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They will also be responsible for measurement models and reporting on 1PD, engagement, and data value, leading a test and learn agenda for AI use cases in creative and content production. This role requires a passion for pets, strong team engagement, and talent pipeline planning, as well as support for digital upskilling across the US, Canada, and global marketing community. The Senior Manager will act as a key contributor to North American Petcare and Global Pet Nutrition & Petcare CRM and Community strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall portfolio digital strategy for 1PD acquisition, CRM, and social platforms for Pet Nutrition brands in US and Canada
  • Further accelerate 1PD collection efforts in partnership with COE team
  • Oversee brand and portfolio-led email and SMS program, including broadcast and trigger campaigns
  • Optimize and further develop brand-led CRM programs with retention & loyalty programs
  • Partner with brand, consumer care/3P, in-house content, and agency teams to lead development of best-in-class organic content and community management
  • Partner with program lead on Point of Market Entry (POME) strategies
  • Serve as US & Canada lead for development and rollout of a Petcare/segment-wide Consumer Data Platform (CDP)
  • Own external agency partnerships for SSO, CRM & CDP; aligning SOW deliverables and SLAs
  • Own measurement model and reporting on 1PD, engagement, and data value
  • Lead test & learn agenda for AI use cases in creative and content production
  • Serve as a thought leader in digital, content, and social communities
  • Obsessed with people and talent - strong team engagement and talent pipeline planning
  • Support digital upskilling of US, Canada, and global marketing community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years minimum experience with deep experience in CRM and content marketing
  • Demonstrated experience in complex project leadership and project management
  • Experience in managing external agencies/partners
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with digital functional IT teams/partners
  • Energy for technology platforms and solutions
  • Passion for cats and dogs
