About the position

The Senior Manager, Marketing Insights & Analytics at Commvault is a leadership role within the Marketing Operations team, focusing on reporting, insights, and analytics. This position is crucial for strategic decision-making within the marketing organization, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to analyze complex data. The role involves collaborating with various teams to implement effective marketing reporting and analysis, ensuring data quality and reliability, and providing actionable insights to maximize return on investment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and performance of complex business models for analyzing marketing pipeline, attribution, and campaign results.
  • Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of marketing dashboards shared throughout the organization.
  • Partner with centralized data/analytics team to determine best data sources and ensure a robust data infrastructure for reporting needs.
  • Lead communications and coaching of partners on the use of marketing reporting, establishing a single source of truth.
  • Provide impactful data-driven insights that maximize return on investment and suggest improvements.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics for the marketing organization and executive meetings.
  • Utilize and analyze large amounts of data to understand trends and develop future predictions.
  • Manage a team of marketing operations analysts supporting regional and global marketing reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations in PowerPoint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business analytics/operations, or a related analytical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, reporting, or business analysis, preferably in a marketing capacity.
  • Experience in a managerial role, leading a team in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive to completion.
  • Ability to articulate insights from complex data to a non-technical audience.
  • Advanced skills in working with complex data sets, relational databases, and basic SQL.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to tell a compelling story.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.).
  • Marketing Automation experience.
  • Experience working with Sales/Marketing technology (i.e. Salesforce, Bizable, Marketo, 6 Sense).
