About the position

Walmart Connect (WMC) is a unique solution designed to help advertisers and agencies connect with customers both online and in-store. The WMC marketing team is focused on engaging advertisers and showcasing Walmart Connect as a premier retail media platform. The role involves developing and executing a comprehensive brand strategy and integrated marketing plan to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. The ideal candidate will be a creative brand planner with strong collaboration skills, capable of working across various teams to bring the brand to life through innovative marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a creative brand strategy and positioning rooted in core industry and target insights.
  • Lead the development of a brand plan and ensure its execution across all touchpoints, including social media, sales, and events.
  • Create innovative strategies to enhance brand message visibility in the industry.
  • Collaborate with adjacent organizations to ensure consistent execution of the brand message.
  • Develop agency creative briefs and manage agency projects effectively.
  • Work closely with Walmart Connect and Brand leadership to capture and assess all points of view.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of in-market activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years' experience in marketing or related field.
  • Agency background with at least 3+ years, preferably 5+ years as a planner and strategist.
  • Strong writing and communication skills to persuade diverse audiences, including senior executives.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to find solutions and define clear, insight-based paths forward.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Supervisory experience in marketing or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
