About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager for US Sponsorships at Delta Air Lines is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of assets within Delta's US sponsorship portfolio, which includes nearly 40 sports teams and properties. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to align sponsorship initiatives with Delta's business objectives, manage relationships, and execute innovative strategies that drive brand awareness. The position requires overseeing creative asset development, managing hospitality opportunities, and ensuring budget accuracy and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of Delta's US sponsorship portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align sponsorship initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage relationships and execute innovative strategies with teams, leagues, and partners.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets for sponsorship-related advertising and materials.
  • Manage campaign development, content production, and agency relations.
  • Ensure efficient use of Delta's resources for hospitality opportunities across sponsorship properties.
  • Track performance to maximize return on objectives for each partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sports management, advertising, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in sports, marketing, sponsorship, event, or project management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience working with external agency partners.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Proven decision-making competencies with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong budget management experience.
  • Ability to work and travel to relevant events.
