About the position

Mondelēz International is seeking a strategic leader to transform its media and digital data solutions and capabilities. This role is pivotal in managing and governing media and digital data to enhance the company's AI, media measurement, digital analytics, and advanced modeling objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional business teams to understand their data needs and work with external data providers, business data owners, and IT to deliver scalable, reusable, and governed data products. The position involves owning and prioritizing the product roadmap for media and digital data products and solutions, requiring a strong understanding of data management, governance, and digital analytics best practices. As part of the US Insights & Analytics team, this role will drive the vision and strategy for media and digital data management governance. The candidate will build trusted data solutions in partnership with the Mondelez Digital Services organization, democratizing access to high-quality data products across various teams, including BI/Analytics, marketing, and senior executives. The role demands excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders effectively and translate complex data concepts into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will lead a team that translates the vision into strategic product roadmaps using an agile delivery approach. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and incorporating stakeholder feedback. The role also involves analyzing data sets to identify insights and trends, overseeing data collection and quality assurance processes, and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of data products. Additionally, the candidate will establish data governance processes and standards, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and maintaining data integrity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Create and evangelize media and digital data product vision to enable media measurement, digital analytics, and advanced modeling solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and incorporating feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business users, data scientists, and engineers to understand data-related requirements and translate them into actionable data product features.
  • Analyze data sets to identify insights, trends, and opportunities that can be leveraged to enhance the data product offering.
  • Oversee data collection, storage, and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of data products and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Own setting up data governance processes and standards for media and digital data.
  • Partner with the data governance council to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain data integrity, security, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with business data owners and SMEs to ensure reliable, accessible, high-fidelity information within our tools, driving requirements through a focus on business needs.
  • Sign off the final user acceptance testing of new features and functions and manage communication of product releases to external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in data management, media and digital data, and digital marketing, preferably in commercial roles and/or CPG industries.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce, digital and social media, and traditional media data.
  • Understanding of governmental privacy regulations on the collection and use of consumer data (such as GDPR and CCPA) and how this impacts consumer data management.
  • Understanding of data technologies, such as databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling (e.g., star schema and snowflake) to drive solutioning discussions with the IT team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within defined timelines.
  • Eagerness to constantly seek improvements in the tech stack, data practices, and data solutions.
  • Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor.
  • Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with agile methodologies (e.g., ceremonies, writing user stories).
  • Understanding of the consumer goods industry or similar industries.
  • Experience developing data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps is a plus.
