Growth in our digital advertising business is key to Walmart's overall growth strategy. Walmart Connect is seeking a Team Lead of Media Analytics & Strategy. Reporting to a Director overseeing a product category, also known as a Strategic Business Unit (SBU), you will bring the analytical rigor, responsiveness, and creativity required to support WMC's market leading advertising measurement and insights. The Team Lead will manage a group of analytics associates aligned to a dedicated sales pod within a specific SBU. As a people manager, you will delegate responsibilities that help create market facing insights to help advertisers understand media performance, optimize media strategy, and generate incremental investment. You will also mentor your associates and provide guidance and leadership to your team of talented analytics professionals. The individual needs to be analytical and solution-driven with the ability to partner with the larger Strategic Insights & Media Analytics team as well as the Sales & Client Service teams to effectively communicate complex media and measurement insights internally and externally. You will play a critical role in analyzing customer behavior, measurement, and performance data across various channels. You will be responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to analyze client retail media strategy and drive value from long-term investment with Walmart Connect as a trusted strategic consultant and partner for our advertising partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of new analysis approaches, deliverables, and methodologies to extract actionable insights from complex digital and retail media datasets.
  • Oversee and mentor a team responsible for providing measurement and insights to a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, product leadership, and client service teams to align strategies and deliver holistic service offerings.
  • Translate complex data analyses into clear and actionable insights, focusing on driving industry trends and strategic client recommendations.
  • Foster innovation and process improvement across the team by introducing new tools, techniques, and workflows to streamline analytics and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years' experience in data analytics or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytics, insights, or measurement in advertising or retail media sectors.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing and mentoring media insight, measurement or analytics teams.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity while operating in a fast paced, start-up type of environment.
  • Competent in SQL, Python, and advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality delivery while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and external clients.
