About the position

The Senior Manager of Sustainability at Shiseido is responsible for leading sustainability projects aligned with the company's sustainability roadmap. This role involves developing and executing projects to ensure timely and effective delivery of sustainable product changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the new product development process. The Senior Manager will manage a portfolio of sustainability projects, ensuring that all necessary activities are completed to support successful implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product required changes from project brief generation to execution, ensuring timing, quantity, cost and KPI targets are achieved.
  • Lead all project meetings and coordinate the seamless integration between all Operational, R&D, Marketing & S&OP processes and functions involved in developing and phasing in required sustainability product changes.
  • Lead COGS assessments at different stages of the project.
  • Challenge and reduce development lead-times by ensuring appropriate balanced risks are built into the original time plans, while achieving/exceeding all COGs, quality and service requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or related job experience, preferably in the CPG industry or Beauty.
  • 7+ years of project management experience.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and take a leadership role within the team.
  • Experience with MS Project and SAP.
  • Understanding of new product development processes and stage gate approach.
  • Exposure to production environment and interaction of packaging, process, manufacturing.
  • Ability to quickly analyze data and information from different sources and compile it into a project plan.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving/changing environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable interfacing with all levels of management within Operations, R&D, and Brand.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Salary range of $109,224 - $163,836 per year.
