About the position

The Senior Manager of Marketing Services at Georgetown University plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Commercial Officer in enhancing the University's commercial business, particularly in Athletics. This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and partner activation across various platforms, including media, sponsorship, and events. The role involves collaboration with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure successful marketing initiatives that promote Georgetown Athletics and its events.

Responsibilities

  • Support annual and long-term strategic/tactical plans for University sales & marketing operations focusing on revenue growth and marketing platforms.
  • Act as a liaison with the Athletics department, creating and overseeing marketing plans for Men's and Women's Basketball.
  • Market and promote events to increase awareness and attendance, utilizing creativity and market analysis.
  • Advise on in-game activities and promotions for MBB/WBB to enhance attendee enjoyment and competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with the Director of Ticket Sales and Operations to maximize revenue and attendance opportunities.
  • Oversee operations of the GUHoyas.com store, including inventory management and direct marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6-8 years of experience in sports or entertainment marketing, preferably in an intercollegiate athletic environment
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, PageMaker, and Photoshop
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills
