About the position

The Senior Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the global revenue accounting operations, with a particular focus on license and subscription revenue streams as well as U.S. accounts receivable. This role is critical in ensuring that the global revenue accounting close and reporting processes are executed accurately and delivered on time, in compliance with US GAAP. The successful candidate will analyze terms and conditions of revenue contracts, identify relevant ASC 606 guidance, and provide timely impact assessments and guidance to the Revenue Operations team to facilitate order processing. In this position, the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager will work closely with the Revenue Accounting team to understand the accounting conclusions of complex revenue contracts, ensuring that revenue is recorded in accordance with the company's revenue recognition policy and relevant accounting literature. The role requires a collaborative approach, partnering with various business groups including Sales Operations, Customer Success, FP&A, Treasury, and Business Technologies to drive operational excellence. Additionally, the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager will lead and manage quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits conducted by external auditors, and support SEC reporting processes. This position is hybrid, requiring one day per week in the office, and offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $195,000, plus bonuses and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global revenue accounting operations focusing on license and subscription revenue streams and U.S. accounts receivable.
  • Oversee the global revenue accounting close and reporting, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Analyze terms and conditions of revenue contracts and identify relevant ASC 606 guidance, providing timely impact assessments to the Revenue Operations team.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Accounting team to ensure compliance with the company's revenue recognition policy and accounting literature.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales Operations, Customer Success, FP&A, Treasury, and Business Technologies for operational excellence.
  • Understand quote-to-cash processes, including systems logic and downstream impacts.
  • Lead and manage quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits by external auditors.
  • Support SEC reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in public/private industry and public accounting, with at least 5 years directly related to revenue recognition.
  • Experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm is preferred.
  • Experience in the software and technology sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current US GAAP regarding revenue recognition and a willingness to stay current on developing issues.
  • Salesforce CPQ experience is required; experience in Google Workspace and Oracle Fusion is a plus.
