About the position
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Foundation Services, you will be a key member of an agile team focused on enhancing, building, and delivering secure and scalable technology products. This role involves applying deep technical expertise to solve diverse challenges across multiple technologies and applications, driving significant business impact through your contributions.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on AWS Services concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
- Proficient in all aspects of coding with modern scripting languages and infrastructure as code practices.
- Expertise in Python and Terraform is a must.
- Hands-on experience with delivering and supporting large scale AWS production workload infrastructure.
- Advanced understanding of AWS services for Traditional Compute, Containerization, and Serverless architectures.
- Expert level experience in developmental toolsets including Jira, BitBucket and Confluence.
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Terraform Certified Associate Certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong AWS, Solution Architect Profession, Developer and/or Data Engineer certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with JIRA Align.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code development.
- Experience in SQL and No-SQL Databases.
