About the position

The Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Capital One will lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects within the Enterprise Platforms Technology team. Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
• Create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
• Stay on top of tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize programming languages and tools such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and AWS services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• At least 4 years of people management experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• 9+ years of experience in Java or Python.
• 7+ years of people management experience.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience with ETL or other data management tools.
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline.
