About the position

The Senior Manager of Value-Based Care Performance at M Health Fairview is responsible for evaluating and enhancing performance within value-based care contracts. This role involves collaboration with various departments to identify opportunities for improvement, track metrics, and provide insights to operational leaders. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive performance in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, track, and monitor potential opportunities within value-based care contracts.
  • Collaborate with data analytics, payer relations, and quality services to develop key metrics related to value contracts.
  • Direct a team to partner with payer relations and quality for improvement of metrics related to financial and utilization trends.
  • Identify financial impacts of opportunities in data to inform operational leaders.
  • Evaluate existing contracts and new terms in partnership with operations to understand performance impacts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data affecting value-based care positively or negatively.
  • Develop methodology for tracking value-based care initiatives and health equity metrics.
  • Provide visualized data and insights to clinicians and operational leaders on performance.
  • Assist in financial forecasting and monitor program health for variances to plan.
  • Create a collaborative environment to address team needs around initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology, data analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, quality improvement, or healthcare analytics.
  • 1-2 years of experience in value-based care analytics and performance measurement.
  • Strong organizational, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a strategic vision.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of clinical operations and tools used in Epic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business, computer science, information technology, or data analytics.
  • Experience with advanced alternative payment models and government models.
  • Expertise in population health and quality initiatives.
  • Background in clinical operations and quality.
  • Experience with payer relationships and product development.
  • Track record with clinical programs and care management.
  • Previous people leadership experience.
  • Formal project management or improvement methodology certification.
