About the position

The Senior Manager, Operational Excellence (OpEx) for Communications, HR, and Operations at McDonald's is responsible for leading operational performance across the Global Technology Commercial Products & Platforms (CPP) Team. This role involves overseeing leadership communications, human resource management, and operational activities, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. The Senior Manager will work closely with various teams to drive change management strategies, optimize processes, and enhance team culture, while also managing a team of three direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of operational performance across CPP, including team goal setting and influencing metrics.
  • Present performance metrics and data reporting at leadership-level operational reviews.
  • Support CPP OpEx Managers in effective change management strategies.
  • Inspire change internally and with external business partners.
  • Align the overall CPP change approach with the communications strategy.
  • Partner with vendor management office (VMO) to align on expectations and support contract renewals.
  • Provide oversight and input to documentation governance and team practices.
  • Evaluate practices for restaurant visits and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate expectations on documentation and information.
  • Review and advise on business routines and operationalization of processes.
  • Lead human resource management practices across the CPP team.
  • Approve and govern team requests through headcount governance.
  • Facilitate goal setting activities for CPP to align with overall strategy.
  • Drive performance management processes and support team recognition activities.
  • Create opportunities for team talent development and align with Global People activities.
  • Provide input to strategy for off-shore/on-shore staff management.
  • Roll-up leadership communications across CPP and ensure consistent messaging.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in business, technology, organizational effectiveness, or related areas.
  • Experience at Senior Manager level or equivalent in operations management and human resources management.
  • Solid understanding of business practices, organizational practices, and governance processes.
  • Proficient in business process optimization, reviews, modeling, mapping, or process improvement.
  • Ability to work across diverse teams and navigate complexity to deliver outcomes.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools like Smartsheet.
