About the position

The Site Leader is responsible for overseeing all budgetary, people development, and operational objectives within the Fulfillment Center, focusing on both Inbound and Outbound operations. This role involves managing a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance objectives, fostering positive employee relations, and enhancing leadership capabilities within the center. The Site Leader collaborates with various support staff to ensure operational efficiency and addresses any personnel or operational issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of staffing plans, schedules, and quality initiatives to meet business objectives.
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers.
  • Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Operations Managers accountable for their departments.
  • Source and nurture ideas from Operations and Area Managers to create improvement plans.
  • Ensure best practices are shared across all departments and shifts.
  • Work closely with support staff to secure resources for projects and initiatives.
  • Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area.
  • Coordinate with the S&OP team for load balancing and future planning requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, performance, and customer experience in both Inbound and Outbound operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct management experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
  • Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Interest in long-term career development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Engineering from a reputed university.
  • MBA preferred.
