About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager at Stryker's Arlington site is responsible for overseeing the management of manufacturing processes to produce and reprocess medical devices, ensuring high quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves developing team resources, managing performance, and engaging in strategic planning to meet operational goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, business, or related degree.
  • Ten years related work experience.
  • Five plus years supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of QSR/ISO requirements.
  • Ability to justify, procure, and implement major capital equipment programs.
  • Ability to plan, track, and facilitate projects using applicable tools.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and project management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Project management/Leadership training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee management of all manufacturing processes to produce and reprocess medical devices.
  • Develop and direct team resources including recruiting and coaching to meet operations/customer needs.
  • Ensure devices are produced at a high level of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic planning and tactical direction to meet predefined metrics.
  • Engage in problem-solving and process improvements to streamline work processes.
  • Prioritize and manage projects to align with Stryker goals and ensure timely completion.
  • Lead the team to build a culture of continuous improvement using Lean and 5S methodologies.
  • Manage production to ensure timely and cost-effective device production.
  • Maintain standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service.
  • Manage department budgets and control expenses.
  • Contribute to the implementation of standard operating procedures for operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
