The Senior Manager Oracle Applications DBA position at our prestigious enterprise company is a permanent, full-time, onsite role that requires a hands-on approach to ensure the production uptime service levels are maintained according to requirements. This includes critical functions such as backup, recovery, refresh, performance tuning, and security for both physical and data aspects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various levels of database management, including physical and application-related issues. This role demands a strategic mindset to ensure that database resources are appropriately sized and that a design strategy is developed to maintain the database at a healthy size. In this role, you will ensure the availability and performance of multi-database and application environments that handle very large volumes and sizes. You will manage the Oracle Cloud OCI platform, maintaining ongoing integrations and configurations to keep the Cloud platform in optimal condition. Routine DBA tasks such as database maintenance, backups, recovery, and table space management will be part of your responsibilities. You will also execute periodic health checks for databases and recommend necessary changes to the production environment to ensure optimal performance. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will interact with multiple infrastructure, security, and IT teams as part of environment setup, maintenance, and support. You will plan and respond to service outages, monitor system performance, diagnose software and hardware failures, and provide patch management to prevent new threats while minimizing impacts on physical infrastructure. Your role will also involve creating and testing data backups, providing data cleansing services, verifying data integrity, and implementing access controls. You will perform database configuration, monitoring, and tuning, along with routine maintenance tasks such as problem defect analysis, space management, and physical database layout management. Additionally, you will support logs and alerts, access rights, and roles management, ensuring system health and technical security. The position also requires maintaining Oracle Quarterly Releases and patch management schedules, supporting systems development, migration, and integration efforts as needed. As a significant contributor to work plans for security analysis and recommendations, you will play a crucial role in the overall success of the database management team.
