About the position

The Senior Manager of Organizational Development at Vail Resorts is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating organizational development solutions that enhance the employee experience. This role significantly contributes to the HR vision of empowering leaders to provide exceptional service to both teams and guests. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for talent development and a strong ability to lead cross-functionally to achieve data-driven outcomes that enhance workforce capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational development priorities, partnering with stakeholders to assess, design, implement, and evaluate programs that build organizational capability.
  • Participate in management routines to align on OD priorities and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assess and refine strategies to address organizational needs and workforce skills requirements, leveraging data for tailored solutions.
  • Contribute to a culture of leadership and learning by refining norms and conditions for effective employee growth.
  • Advise partners in building tools and experiences that align with the company's leadership and service-based culture.
  • Ensure equitable design and delivery of interventions, contributing to DEI strategic priorities.
  • Adopt agile processes to enhance the L&OD function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years leading organizational development initiatives and teams, preferably in a consultancy or medium-large company.
  • 2+ years managing others.
  • Ability to lead with a consultative approach, providing effective guidance and advice.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing impactful solutions that improve performance.
  • Ability to lead change that drives business outcomes.
  • Self-driven with the capability to interface effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office skills.
