About the position

The Senior Manager, Outbound Sales Development at ClickUp is responsible for leading a team of outbound sales development representatives (SDRs/BDRs) to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for the North American sales team. This role involves recruiting, coaching, and mentoring team members, implementing effective pipeline generation strategies, and delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outbound sales development and a passion for fostering a high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of xDRs (SDRs/BDRs) to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for the North American sales team.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor xDRs (SDRs/BDRs) through shadowing, role plays, process improvement, and performance reporting in recurring 1:1s.
  • Build repeatable training for the xDR team in sales skills and product/industry understanding.
  • Define, manage, and optimize KPIs and metrics for the xDR team, managing reports and dashboards.
  • Implement, improve, and standardize key sales processes to achieve consistent and repeatable motions that predictably drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and coach high-performing xDRs into ClickUp's future Account Executives.
  • Foster an amazing culture for the xDR team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading outbound sales development teams with a proven track record of exceeding goals in an outbound sales environment.
  • 2+ years of direct business development and pipeline generation experience.
  • A passion and excitement for hiring, retaining, and motivating exceptional SDRs/BDRs.
  • Obsession with being data-driven, highly analytical, leading through influence, and structured thinking.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools (i.e. Outreach, Sales Navigator).
  • High levels of self-motivation, ownership, and adaptability, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, 'do what it takes' culture.
