About the position

The Senior Payroll Manager at Fox Corporation is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Payroll Shared Services team. This position focuses on ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for non-union employees across multiple divisions and states, while driving process improvements and compliance with regulations. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate all activities of a Payroll Shared Services team responsible for non-union payroll operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with SOX requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder queries through effective collaboration.
  • Anticipate issues and proactively develop solutions to enhance customer service.
  • Create and use metrics to benchmark performance and improve service delivery.
  • Handle escalations and guide corrective actions across departments.
  • Establish and adhere to payroll schedules with business partners to meet processing deadlines.
  • Review, audit, and approve stock incentive compensation transactions and payroll taxes.
  • Define and drive key requirements, projects, and initiatives with high quality and customer service.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking payroll processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and flowcharts for payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with Payroll Shared Services leadership on strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Support Workday issues and change requests, including user acceptance testing.
  • Act as a trusted adviser for business partners and stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor team members to drive engagement and operational excellence.
  • Stay updated on wage and hour and tax regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience leading Payroll processes in a multi-state, multi-entity organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and develop talent through mentorship.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation of fringe benefits and long-term equity incentive instruments.
  • Expert knowledge of FLSA, federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup and Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to manage multiple commitments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Outstanding people skills and experience in cultivating collaborative relationships.
