About the position
The Senior Manager, Pharmacy Reimbursement Budgeting and Forecasting at CVS Health plays a critical role in developing innovative solutions to enhance profitability within the pharmacy sector. This position is responsible for managing the budgeting and forecasting analytics for over $90 billion in Pharmacy Sales while addressing over $1 billion in annual rate erosion. The role requires a combination of complex modeling, insightful analytics, and effective communication to set financial expectations with senior leadership and streamline current processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop the forecasting modeling infrastructure for Pharmacy Reimbursement.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting analytics for over $90 billion in Pharmacy Sales.
- Manage the current Reimbursement Budgeting and Forecasting modeling and integrate with new CostVantage-based Reimbursement.
- Combine complex modeling with robust presentation development to set financial expectations with Senior Leadership.
- Summarize key business themes and drivers of variances during the monthly close process.
- Accrue Generic and Brand contracted rates for top Payers.
- Create sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to the current Reimbursement Budgeting and Forecasting modeling.
- Forecast, budget, and analyze Omnicare Business Unit results separately.
- Support ad hoc analyses including legal requests and government cost surveys.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional finance experience with escalating levels of responsibility.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, etc.
- Certification such as CFA or CPA.
- Healthcare/Pharmacy industry work experience.
- Experience with custom queries in relational databases (such as SQL).
