About the position

The Senior Manager, Plant Operations at Fox Corporation is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the FOX Network Center and associated facilities. This position ensures the functionality and reliability of critical infrastructure in a fast-paced entertainment production and live sports broadcast environment. The role involves managing a team of union technicians, maintaining essential systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting ongoing construction projects and tenant improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site physical plant operations to ensure 24/7 functionality and dependability.
  • Manage daily maintenance and operation of power, cooling, heating, plumbing, and related equipment/infrastructure.
  • Oversee critical environments including data centers, edit suites, and production control rooms.
  • Ensure employee training and development for adequate performance.
  • Develop and manage change management protocols for significant work.
  • Implement consistent plant management and operational functionality.
  • Assess conditions to prioritize and implement repairs and improvements.
  • Oversee team's work schedule for 24/7 coverage.
  • Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions within the facility.
  • Initiate and implement infrastructure and equipment improvements.
  • Coordinate with building occupants and third-party tenants.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Support ongoing construction projects and tenant improvements.
  • Communicate maintenance program status to staff and management.
  • Manage vendor procurement and billing processes, purchasing, payroll, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical or applicable engineering field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in overseeing mission-critical infrastructure operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining critical facilities and managing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS), automation, and controls.
  • Ability to understand single line diagrams and mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Exceptional leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Highly developed critical thinking skills.
  • Availability to respond 24/7 to significant events and work outside normal hours as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience overseeing plant operations for technology/data centers and live broadcast environments.
  • Competence in Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Computer Maintenance Management System software (CMMS).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or similar accreditations.
  • Understanding of campus environments with multiple tenants.
