The Senior Manager, Portfolio Management will play a pivotal role in leading multiple cross-functional teams dedicated to managing clients' renewable energy assets, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and optimizing portfolio performance. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations associated with various renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving task completion across teams and executing necessary actions to maintain portfolio compliance with project agreements. In this role, the Senior Manager will lead the onboarding of new portfolios and projects, facilitating collaboration among various teams to ensure a smooth transition. They will act as the quarterback for the project management team, tracking ongoing tasks and deliverables while leveraging digital platforms to enhance workflow efficiency. The Senior Manager will also review and approve performance and financial reports for operating projects, developing both standard and ad hoc reports as required. Collaboration with the Technical Asset Management team is essential, as the Senior Manager will manage contracts for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) personnel to optimize project performance. Additionally, they will coordinate with the Financial Asset Management team to support billing, revenue tracking, and other financial deliverables, demonstrating a thorough understanding of invoicing and revenue tracking processes. The Senior Manager will also track project performance and operational data, utilizing this information for analysis and reporting to create meaningful recommendations for clients. The role requires excellent relationship management skills, as the Senior Manager will interact with key stakeholders, including project owners, investors, and external parties. They will provide exceptional customer service, organize meetings, and lead discussions with clients and internal teams. Furthermore, the Senior Manager will maintain subject matter expertise in their specialty area while developing a secondary specialty, driving the creation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) as necessary. As a leader, the Senior Manager will manage and mentor at least four direct reports, focusing on their professional development, compensation planning, and adherence to company policies. They will also train junior team members and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring the successful execution of monthly responsibilities. The Senior Manager will plan and develop initiatives for the larger project management team, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
