About the position

Want to use your Procurement Skills to leverage suppliers to bring the best value back to Walmart? The Senior Manager, Procurement is a primary steward of our company; you'll engage with numerous suppliers while working alongside a forward-thinking team in supporting stakeholders throughout Walmart. You will collaborate with your stakeholders in researching, building, and executing supplier strategies.

Responsibilities

• Protect the Company - Leverage system and process to ensure consistency.
• Contracting: The ability to develop and lead contract negotiations with vendors, while collaborating with the business stakeholders and legal team.
• Build Effective RFP's: Modeling historic and real time market data to identify the right suppliers to support our company objectives.
• Engaging Stakeholders: Identify and meet with both internal and external teams to drive value and deliver savings.
• Building strategic Sourcing Strategies: Maximize relationships with new and existing suppliers, understanding, and evaluating their products and capabilities and negotiating advantageous rates.
• Interpreting Spend Analysis: The ability to read, analyze and tell the story from data and spend to build a TCO model.
• Operating with excellence: Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field.
• 6 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Purchasing Manager or related purchasing manager certification.
• Experience with cross-functional teams.
• Master's degree in business or related field.
• Supervisory experience.
