About the position

The Senior Manager-Product Marketing role at Microchip Technology, Inc. involves leading a dynamic marketing team within the Analog Power and Interface Business Unit. The position focuses on developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for power management products, while also coaching and developing a team of Product Line Managers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in product line management within the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Product Line Managers, providing coaching and professional development to drive performance and product success.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for the product lines, including market analysis, product positioning, and go-to-market plans.
  • Collaborate with applications, architecture, sales, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to define power product roadmaps and ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Drive product lifecycle management, from concept through end-of-life, including forecasting, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Engage with key customers and partners to gather insights, reinforce relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to adjust product strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, delivering presentations and product demonstrations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in product marketing or product management within the semiconductor industry, specifically with power management products.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to grasp complex product features and benefits.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach to marketing and product management.
  • Ability to travel as required for customer visits, supplier negotiations, and industry events.
