About the position
The Senior Product Security Manager at Geotab is responsible for overseeing and leading a team focused on enhancing the company's product security posture. This role involves managing security architecture for embedded systems, application development, and cloud infrastructure, while also ensuring operational deliverables related to code analysis and remediation. The position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex technical concepts to improve security processes and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead a team including Senior Security Researchers, a Senior Operations Lead, Security Analysts, and Security Specialists.
- Deliver security architecture oversight for Embedded Systems, Application Development, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Manage and facilitate the Security Champions Program.
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual GeoSecCon Summit.
- Assist sales with potential client opportunities that require Information Security involvement.
- Project Management of department-based deliverables as well as external department deliverables.
- Participate in audits representing team deliverables such as ISO 27001, FedRAMP, SOC2, etc.
- Ensure the identification, classification, and remediation of security risks identified by the team.
- Design security-related processes to cover both compliance requirements and to decrease risk.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve on security-related risks.
- Establish annual department budgets with senior leaders.
- Recommend tools and technologies to automate services within the team.
- Develop departmental roadmaps for continual security posture improvement.
- Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship.
- Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
- Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- 10-12+ years of experience in secure development infrastructure within a technology-focused industry.
- 5-8+ years of experience managing a team of high-performing security professionals at a senior level.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through to completion.
- Must stay relevant to technology and have the flexibility to adapt to growing technology and market demands.
- Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve with meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines.
