About the position

This role focuses on delivering technology solutions for the Studio and its projects, acting as the primary liaison between Production Technology and Studio Executives and Filmmakers. It involves overseeing the technical deployment of productions from inception to release, ensuring successful and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Executive teams including Production, Finance, Editorial and VFX to develop, deliver and maintain productions' technical deployment.
• Create and design technical workflows with the Production Technology team for productions and Studio executive teams.
• Streamline and deliver scalable efficient technical results to projects with varying budgets and requirements.
• Build processes early to allow for better planning, practice, and execution of workflows.
• Lead efforts to complete Production solutions and plan for Post Production technology migration workflows.
• Research and seek out new technology available in the market.
• Expose and evangelize new technical processes to each project.
• Advise Productions on the Studio's security best practices and implementation.
• Develop, design, and deploy each production's network infrastructure by leveraging Studio Technology Partners.
• Work directly with Production Teams HOD's including Producers, Management, and Camera.
• Collaborate with post-production teams including Editors, Assistants, VFX teams, and vendors to deliver best technical practices.
• Engage with Image/Color Science teams to assist Studio Executives and Production stakeholders with shot review, calibration, and remote collaboration solutions.
• Report and communicate consistently with the VP of Production Technology regarding project success and risks.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge and experience in leading Production and Post-Production workflows.
• Experience with networking, storage, and processing workflows.
• Enthusiasm to prepare early and execute various plans for successful solutions.
• Ability to recognize and adapt to projects that pivot and change course rapidly.
• Pursue new industry ideas, processes, and technology for project application.
• Deep comprehension of various software and apps for multiple team collaboration.
• Efficient technical communication with non-technical Studio Executives and Filmmakers.
