About the position

The Senior Manager, Public Relations at HID is responsible for overseeing the global PR program, strategy, and budget, specifically managing PR efforts in the North America region. This role involves direct management of regional PR Managers and collaboration with marketing leadership to execute successful public relations programs globally. The position requires strong leadership skills, client management capabilities, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing HID's entire Public Relations program, including the creation of global PR and thought leadership strategy.
  • Serving as primary point of contact and 'client manager' for HID's PR program with global stakeholders.
  • Directly managing internal regional PR Managers and providing guidance to execute PR strategies.
  • Developing comprehensive public relations plans, including media relations and article placements.
  • Overseeing and managing HID's PR budget, including global agencies and consultants.
  • Building relationships with target editors and journalists, serving as primary media contact.
  • Developing global PR content that enhances brand awareness and thought leadership.
  • Managing the NAM PR program, including agency management and media pitching efforts.
  • Overseeing global PR reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years public relations experience required.
  • Experience managing PR programs and relationships with external agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or marketing discipline.
  • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) preferred.
  • Experience in technology PR is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and management tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows.
