About the position

The Senior Manager, Public Relations at GreenPoint Global will play a pivotal role in enhancing the firm's profile and reputation within the market. This position involves identifying, managing, and delivering opportunities for media coverage and other external communications channels. The Senior Manager will be responsible for ongoing public relations and communications efforts, which include handling day-to-day inbound and outbound media relations, proactively pitching media opportunities, and responding to media inquiries. A key aspect of this role is to develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant reporters and editors, ensuring that the firm is well-represented in the media landscape. In addition to media relations, the Senior Manager will take the lead on drafting and editing various PR and communications materials. This includes creating press releases, pitches, media briefings, messaging documents, Q&As, and presentations. Building and nurturing effective relationships with partners and other key stakeholders is essential, as the Senior Manager will need to earn their respect and act as a trusted advisor. Preparing partners and stakeholders for media engagements is also a critical responsibility, which involves developing materials such as briefings, key messages, and talking points to ensure they are well-prepared for interactions with the media. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to influence and build trust with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive-level personnel. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are necessary to handle multiple projects simultaneously, along with sound judgment and a keen attention to detail. Familiarity with business and legal terms and lexicon will be beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, manage, and deliver opportunities for media coverage and external communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • At least 10 years of communications experience (required), preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Significant media relations experience.
  • Existing legal and business media relationships are a plus.
  • Experience managing team members.
  • Experience developing and implementing PR/communications plans and activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • PR agency experience is a plus.
