The Senior Manager Public Relations at Generac is a pivotal role within the Communications team, acting as a company spokesperson and responsible for enhancing the visibility of our products and services. This position plays a crucial part in building and safeguarding the corporate reputation of Generac, leveraging press relationships through effective management of public relations agencies and addressing various issues that may arise. The role requires collaboration with the CEO and senior executives to develop media interview briefs and key messages that align with the company's strategic objectives. In this position, the Senior Manager will work strategically across the communications and social media teams, understanding how effective communication can drive business results across primary Generac business units. The role involves leading various communications projects that necessitate coordination across different functions, ensuring that all communications efforts are aligned with the overall goals of the organization and its business segments. The Senior Manager will be responsible for creating comprehensive public relations strategies, writing press releases, and developing product communication plans. This includes managing multiple stakeholder PR programs and supporting the company's issues communications needs. The individual will also be tasked with developing and maintaining the company's corporate image and identity, acting as the spokesperson on a wide range of corporate and marketing topics, including crisis communications when necessary. Additionally, the Senior Manager will ensure consistency in the voice and tone of the brand across all communications channels, establish and maintain effective relationships with local and national media reporters and editors, and oversee the reporting of key metrics and results. The role also involves developing and implementing processes to enhance team efficiency and results, as well as supervising the activities of outside public relations agencies.
