About the position

Johnson & Johnson Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager for Q&C Digital Enablement, located in New Brunswick, NJ, with consideration for candidates near J&J offices in Switzerland, Belgium, and the US. This role is pivotal in enhancing the digital maturity of Quality & Compliance (Q&C) by integrating innovative digital capabilities into the Q&C framework and strategy. The Senior Manager will lead a team of experts in AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation to assess and develop digital capabilities that transform Q&C business processes and systems. This position is part of the Transformation Office, which is dedicated to steering strategic imperatives and improving the Q&C organization's strategy through initiatives like Data Strategy, Automated Product Release, and Digitalization of Quality Management Systems. The Senior Manager will define and execute strategies to meet the growing demand for AI and other emerging technologies within Q&C. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing use cases that create measurable value for Q&C, driving the execution of efforts to build and mature digital capabilities, and ensuring a cohesive strategy where data is ready for AI applications. The role also involves educating the Q&C community on how emerging technologies can generate insights, manage risk, and improve efficiencies. The Senior Manager will manage resources effectively, ensuring the team has the necessary tools and support to deliver high-quality solutions while providing mentorship and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy for meeting the growing demand for AI, generative AI, intelligent automation, and other emerging technologies within Q&C.
  • Identify and implement use cases that create real, measurable value for Q&C, in partnership with R&D, Supply Chain, and TO&R.
  • Drive execution of efforts to explore, build, and mature Q&C's digital capabilities, ensuring leverage and scale of technologies and solutions.
  • Work across boundaries to ensure a more integrated, digitally-native way of working that reduces friction for the Q&C community and partners.
  • Strengthen the integration between data and digital teams to form a cohesive strategy where data is ready for AI, and AI makes the most use of our data.
  • Build predictive, recommendation, and/or LLM-based models that are accurate, robust, and informative.
  • Educate the community on the art of the possible, and how emerging technologies can help Q&C generate insights, manage risk, and gain efficiencies.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, ensuring the team has the necessary tools and support to deliver high-quality solutions, and by providing mentorship and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in the application of AI/ML, generative AI, intelligent automation, and/or NLP technologies.
  • Experience in a regulated industry in supply chain, operations, Quality, Information Technology or R&D function.
  • Knowledge of GxP regulations, including computer system validation, data integrity and medical device regulations.
  • Strategic thinking, visionary and foresight to conceptualize new solutions that address core business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Project management experience.
  • Executive presentation skills.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to connect.
  • Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.
  • Bifocal approach - ability to zoom-in/zoom-out for strategic and tactical, high-level, and detailed, etc.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in relevant field of study.
  • Experience in Information Technology.
  • Cross-sector experience in MedTech and Innovative Medicines.
  • Working knowledge of PMO, SDLC, GAMP 5, and ITIL frameworks.
