About the position

The Senior Manager, Revenue Operations & Strategy is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Roon's revenue-generating processes. This role is pivotal in aligning sales, marketing, and customer success teams to maximize revenue growth and optimize customer lifetime value. The position involves leading the analysis and design of programs that integrate various operational strategies to support both direct-to-consumer and dealer customer channels.

Responsibilities

  • Influence Roon's go-to-market strategy based on activity and evolve it over a 1-2 year time horizon.
  • Grow and mentor the Revenue Operations team while partnering with Product, OEM Partnerships, Customer Success, and e-Commerce Operations.
  • Translate the go-to-market strategy into actionable decisions, investments, and detailed implementation plans.
  • Conduct global market and user analysis to identify growth opportunities and industry trends.
  • Plan, test, and scale programs to maximize Roon trials, conversion, expansion, and retention, establishing performance measurement criteria and KPIs.
  • Develop custom data models, dashboards, and analyses to derive insights into growth opportunities from company data sources.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on sales metrics and trends, clearly communicating analytic findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain metrics tied to revenue team goals and corporate KPIs to measure and analyze sales performance.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage data governance standards to improve data quality across sales and other platforms.
  • Identify and execute strategic data-oriented initiatives to unlock revenue growth, working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success.
  • Flex between strategic and tactical responsibilities as needed.
  • Serve as an influential member of Roon's leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10 years of experience in revenue operations, analytics, or management consulting in a subscription-based consumer technology business, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
  • Understanding of integrated go-to-market strategies in B2C software, guiding product, marketing, customer success, and e-commerce teams.
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated analysis and translate results into actionable insights.
  • Experience in gathering requirements, scoping, building, and implementing new programs and tools.
  • Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards using tools like Metabase and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of data platforms like BigQuery and ETL/data workflows; hands-on SQL experience is highly valued.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements for revenue growth.
  • Collaboration-first mindset with a track record of influence in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, elastic environment and manage ambiguity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital music streaming, subscription entertainment, or consumer technology sectors.
  • Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) e-commerce experience.
  • Experience with outbound/marketing automation, ad tech, media planning, and finance/SAP platforms.
  • Expertise in implementing cross-functional process automation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
